outside>in was a temporary audio-visual installation at the lighthouse building in New Orleans.
33 tubes (equipped with microphones) and an electric guitar filter the ambient noise from outside the building to musical sounds that were replayed on the inside. A video-camera simultaneously films the traffic on Camp Street and projects its image onto an assembly of mirrors on the ground-floor of the lighthouse to create a visual abstraction of the outside situation.
