_playing is a sound-installation, that involves a microphone, an electric guitar and amplifiers.
The microphone is installed outside the exhibition space and records the urban sounds. The signal from the microphone is passed on to an electro-mechanical device which is connected to the strings of the electric guitar. The guitar is plugged in to a guitar-amplifier.
Guitars and amplifiers used for the installations each belong to local musicians.
